CRYSTAL AND ISABEL This is a weblog for Crystal Sun Zhao and Isabel Sun Zhao. As parents, we'd like to keep the records for them as much as we can.

Crystal is now taking a painting course once each week. Following are some pictures from her, her classmates and her teacher

We stayed in Victoria for only one night. The second day, we drove along the Scenic Marine Drive to the ferry.

At the final stage, we stayed in Seattle for a couple days and arrive in Shanghai again on Feb. 5th, 2009.

We stayed in Tofino for two nights. Very luckily, we met two Sunny days when we were there.
We walked along the Pacific Ocean.

Crystal and Isabel spent a lot of on the beach to play with sands.

We also rent a bicycle to ride along the Pacific Rim highway. Crystal and Isabel were in the back seat.

On Feb. 1st, we left Tofino to Victoria. Because there was snow last a couple of days, the views were quite different from when we came two days ago.

On Jan. 30th, we took the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria. Then we drove about 6 hours of zigzag roads to arrive at Tofino. Tofino is located inside the Pacific Rim National Park. The views along the way are amazing.

On Jan. 29th, four of us arrived in Vancouver. We rented a Toyota Hybird car at the airport. It took me 5 minutes to find the button to start the car. The first place we went is Vancouver Aquarium and Stanley Park.

We stayed night at a motel about 20 minutes away from the ferry to Vancouver Island.

Isabel, Mom and Dad made a trip to Canada to pick up Crystal while she was staying in Calgary at Pei’s place.
We left Shanghai on Jan. 20, 2009. Isabel and Mom arrived in Calgary on Jan. 20th. And Dad went to Toronto first. After meeting some old friends in Toronto, Dad arrived in Calgary on Jan. 22nd, 2009.
While we stayed at Pei and Hui’s home until Jan. 29th, we took some tours around Banff National Park and Dad went skiing four times. Isabel also had her first skiing experience.

On January 2nd, 2009, Mom’s MBA classmates are helding an opening ceremony for their own association called HaiXue Association. The ceremony is held at Fengxian Beach. Both Isabel and Dad are coming too.

At the beginning ceremony, Isabel and Beibei are singing the Happy Birthy song under the spot light.

We stay in Fengxian for overnight. The second day, we bring Isabel to the beach. Isabel falls love in riding on the horse. She rides on the horse back and forth for 3 times. Her favorite horse is that white horse.

On Dec. 28th, Mom and Dad come to Isabel’s kindergarden. We are going to make the costumes ourselves. So are the other parents. Some costumes are really cute. Check the pictures.

On Jan. 31st, Dad come to attend Isabel’s open class. Kids are very happy to answer teacher’s Jiang’s questions and playing games together.

Hui and Pei takes Crystal to Royal Tyrrell Museum.

Crystal celebrates her 6 years old birthday on the Lake Lousie Ski Resort. Hui and Pei brings the cake to Crystal’s first ski trip.

Hui and Pei also take Crystal to hike in Banff.
