It’s our final day in Beijing, the only rainy day while we are in Beijing. It’s the time to say goodbye to friends in Beijing.

Day 7 – Great Wall and Ming Tombs

On Day 7, Aug. 20th, we visit Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Uncle Zhao in Beijing drives us there. There are many people on the Great Wall. Crystal and I climb a long way. Some places are very steep. But, it is no problem for Crystal at all. She climbs and chats with me casually.

Day 6 — The Summer Palace of Beijing

On Aug. 19th, day 6, we go to the Summer Palace of Beijing. Liuge accompanies us today again. We have stayed at Liu’s place for 5 days already. Then we will move to Crystal’s grandparents’ place for the next 2 days.

Day 5 — Another 2 games

On Aug. 18th day 5, we watch 2 games again. In the morning, it’s anothe baseball game between Taiwan and Korea. Korea wins by 9-8.

In the late afternoon, we come to Olympic Park again to watch the Athletics. We have 2 night session tickets. There are 6 finals: Women’s Discus Throw, Women’s Pole Vault, Men’s Long Jump, Men’s 3000m Steeplechase, Women’s 800m and Men’s 400m Hurdles. Women’s Pole Vault is the last event to finish. ISINBAEVA Elena of Russia breaks the world record again by 5.05 meters. This is her 24th world record. So amazing!

Day 4 — Olympic Park

On day 4 Aug. 17th, we go to visit Olympic Park. We were given two tickets by Crystal’s aunt in Beijing. Inside Olympic Park, we spend almost 5-6 hours. It’s quite big.

Day 3 — Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City

Beijing Olympic 2008 Trip Day 1 and Day 2

Crystal and Dad went to Beijing to watch some Olympic games. We stayed in Beijing from Aug. 14th to Aug. 22th.

Day 1 Aug. 14th: Arrive in Beijing in the late night by flight.

Day 2 Aug. 15th: In the morning, we go to Beijing Wukesong Sports Center Baseball Field to watch the game between China and Taiwan. The game is very exciting. It is a 3-3 tie after 11 innings. Then in the last inning, Taiwan wins 4 points. Everyone thinks that China would lose the game. Then, in thee last half inning, China wins 5 points. The final score: 8-7, China wins.

In the night, we go to Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasium to watch Judo Women +78 kg final and Men +100 kg final. Chinese athlete Yang Xiuli wins in Judo Women’s +78kg and Ishii from Japan wins Men’s +100kg.
