CRYSTAL AND ISABEL This is a weblog for Crystal Sun Zhao and Isabel Sun Zhao. As parents, we'd like to keep the records for them as much as we can.

Isabel is 4 years old now today. She is really a big girl now. She is very smart and lovely.

Oct. 3rd is the Mid autumn festival. A few friends and some kids come to our new home. The environment of our new home is very nice. Lots of space for kids to play around. They have a very good time.

We move to our new home on September 27th, 2009. Following are some pictures of our new home.

August, 2009 is the last month before Crystal attends elementary school. Crystal spends a lot of time with her friend, Jin Wei. They play online computer games together.

July 28, 2009 is Crystal’s graduation ceremony day. This is the last day for Crystal’s kindergarden life.

Mom and little Aunt bring Crystal and Isabel to the Hongkong Disneyland on July 24 and 25, 2009.

Naonao and his mother, Ms Liu, come to visit us in Shanghai from Montreal.

Tingting brings her two daughters to our home. They come back from Toronto to visit their family in Shanghai.

Little Aunt takes Crystal and Isabel to attend an event in their kindergarden.

From June 25 to June 28, 2009, we went for a trip to Putuo Mount.

Mount Putuo is an island located to the south-east of Shanghai, in Zhoushan prefecture of Zhejiang province, China. It is famous in Chinese Buddhism, and is considered the bodhimanda of Avalokitesvara (Guan Yin), a revered Bodhisattva in many parts of East Asia. Mount Putuo is one of the four sacred mountains in Chinese Buddhism, the others being Mount Wutai, Mount Jiuhua, and Mount Emei (Bodhimandas for Manjushri, Ksitigarbha, and Samantabhadra, respectively).

The name Putuo derives from “Potalaka” the mountain residence of Guanyin in the Avatamsaka Sutra.
