CRYSTAL AND ISABEL This is a weblog for Crystal Sun Zhao and Isabel Sun Zhao. As parents, we'd like to keep the records for them as much as we can.

On Oct. 3rd, we went to 阳澄湖 to eat crabs.

On Oct. 1st, Crystal, Isabel, Mom, Wensi and Grandparents went on a short trip to 千灯古镇.

Sep. 22nd, 2010 is Grandpa’s 72 years old birthday.

By Dad’s small car, we went for a trip to Henan Province from Aug. 4th to 13th, 2010. Only 3 of us, Crystal, Isabel and Dad. Mom was too busy to take a vocation.
Day 1, we left Shanghai in the morning and drove 800 KM to 商丘. We had a lot of fun in the car although everyone was a little tired after 10 hours driving.

Day 2, Aug. 5th, 2010: stayed in 商丘 for half a day and drove to 开封 in the afternoon.

Day 3, 4, Aug 6th-7th, 2010: stayed in 开封 for 2 days.

Day 5, Aug. 8th, 2010: 郑州 for one day and we visited the Yellow River, China’s mother river.

Day 6, 7, 8, Aug. 9th-11th, 2010: we visited 登封, 中岳庙, Shaolin Temple, 嵩山, 嵩阳书院, FaWang Temple and 关林. It’s the best place in this trip. With lots of history.

Day 9 and 10, Aug 12th-13th, 2010: the last place we visited is 洛阳. We visited 洛阳龙门石窟 (Longmen Grottoes) and 洛阳白马寺(White Horse Temple). Then we drove back home from 洛阳. It took 13 hours for 1,000 KM.

We had a 5 days’ trip to Thailand, from July 7th to July 12th, 2010.
Day 1, July 7th, 2010: We arrived in Phuket.

Day 2, 3, 4, July 8th-10th, 2010: We are on Phi Phi Island.

Day 5, July 11th, 2010: Back to Phuket again.

One kid in Crystal and Isabel’s speech course has attent a speech contect held by local government. Surprisingly for me, the kid won the first prize in the 10 kids’ final.

Crystal has taken a Tonsil removal operation from May 20th to 30th. Crystal stayed in the hospital for a week. It’s hard for her for the first 2 days. And then she is getting better and better every day. The operation is very successful.

From May, Crystal and Isabel are taking a Speech course held by Zhuzuo. Both Crystal and Isabel have made some new friends in this class. On May 8th, we attend an event held by Zhuzuo.

On May 1st, we took a one day trip to Changshu. The view in Changshu is very nice. It has a small mountain and a lake here. Dad took Crystal to try the speed boat on the lake.

On April 4th and 5th, we took a two days’ trip to Suzhou. The first day, we went to Suzhou Botanical garden. Lots of tulips with different colors in the garden. Looks very nice.

We had a big dinner that night. The kids are really hungry. Look at these pictures.
