Since I decided to move back to Vancouver in June, I needed to spend some time in our new Wuhan factory from March to May. I had lots of free time during the weekends because I’m just by myself. I did a lot hiking during these 3 months.
April 18th to 19th, 武当山: Walked 18km to 五龙宫 on the road. Then 7km to 武当山天池 through the valley.
April 25th to 26th, 恩施鹿院坪:
May 1st to 3rd, 江西武功山:
May 9th, 湖北省英山县篓子石:
May 16th and 17th, 湖北神农架:
We passed 黄山 a few times before. But we never got a chance to climb it. This year, we finally found 4 days to visit 黄山. We arrive at city of 黄山 on Feb. 14th and stayed for one night. On Feb. 15th, we got up at 6:30am. There is a little rain. It took one hour for us from the city to the bottom of 黄山, 慈光阁. We started to climb around 9am. At first, my guess was that we need 7 hours to arrive at the hotel we will stay, at 西海景区. It’s over 10KM of climbing. But the two girls climbed faster than I thought. We finished the first day’s climbing in 5 hours.
The next day, I got up early by myself to see the sunrise. Luckily, I saw it the first time after I have been 黄山 3 times.
Next, we visited 西海景区 and 北海景区. Then we walk down the mountain. Around 2pm, we were already lying on the bed at a Hot Spring Hotel. We tried 黄山温泉 in the night.
Isabel and some of her classmates with the parents went for 扬州3日游 together. Kids are having a lot of fun during 3 days.

On Dec 13, SCL school held a 4 schools’ girls soccor tournament. SCL school won the second place again. Congradulations!
In October, we went for different places. Crystal went to Hawaii with her school as an exchange student for 10 days. Crystal stays at Mei’s home. Many thanks for Mei family’s hospitality.
Isabel and Mom went to Singapre to have some fun. I went for a 5 days’ hiking whever there is a chance when I’m alone.
Also, on Nov. 16, I met some high school classmates after 27 years. They all look very well. 🙂
On Sep. 20 morning, Isabel attended SSSA 3km Cross Country Race. I attended for 5km race. It almost kills me. It’s too early for me. I finished around 32 minutes.
In August, I took the girls to Beijing.
August 16: We visited 北京首都博物馆.
August 17: 明十三陵 and Great Wall.
August 18: 颐和园 and 圆明园
August 19: 北京奥林匹克公园. In the night, we watched a show “How to train a dragon” with LiuGe.
August 20: 天安门 and 故宫. We didn’t find enough time to visit 故宫珍宝馆. But we will be back.
August 21: 中国国家博物馆
August 22: 人民英雄纪念碑, 天安门城楼 and 故宫珍宝馆.
In the night, we went to 德云社听相声.
August 23: 天坛公园 and 北海公园
On June 29, I took the girls to XiAn. Since we will move back to Canada soon, it’s the time to visit XiAn and Beijing.
June 29: We visited 西安碑林博物馆.
June 30: 华清池, 兵马俑 and 秦始皇帝陵.
At night, we also watched 长恨歌历史舞剧.
July 1: 陕西历史博物馆 and 大雁塔
July 2: 华山
July 3: We went for 泡温泉.
July 4: 乾陵, 唐永泰公主墓, 唐懿德太子墓 and 法门寺
July 5: 西安城墙. We walk a loop on 西安城墙. It took us 6 hours walking for 15KM. It was a very hot day. We drunk about 9 bottles of water during the walking.
July 6: We went for 泡温泉 again.
July 7: Back to Shanghai.
On June 27, 2014, SCL Primary School Class 2014 Graduation Ceremony was held at SCL school.
Crystal will graduate from Primary school this month. So, some students and parents agree to have a graduation trip together to 崇明岛. The kids have their own rooms instead of with their parents. Some kids watched the World cup all night without much sleep. Crystal slept only for about an hour, too excited.
